"Skylar Hadden knows that importance needs to be placed on the child, the subject, the project, and the passion. Skylar Hadden does what public schools should all be doing if we truly want to be the innovative society that we purport to be."

Skylar Hadden is a nurturing learning environment that engages the whole child academically, socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually.  The curriculum responds to the individual students learning needs by offering a variety of educational approaches: using children’s natural interests to build strengths and remediate weaknesses.  The focus is on building a solid personal foundation of knowledge and skills and a love of learning.

“Everybody is a genius.  But, if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”
--Albert Einstein

Our students trying to learn in a mainstream setting is like asking a fish to climb a tree.  Skylar Hadden School serves unique, high-functioning individuals with some great abilities who are unable to realize their full potential in a traditional school environment.  We recognize and meet the challenges of teaching these children by providing individualized accommodations, focus, and support to help them learn, thrive, and become successful.
